How To Steam Clean Your Car

Having a clean car interior can help you feel more organized and relaxed while driving. Steaming your car is a great way to get a deep clean, eliminating odors and sanitizing the interior surfaces. Steam cleaning is a great alternative to chemical cleaners, since the steam will clean without leaving residue or dangerous fumes. To steam clean your car, you’ll need a few supplies and some preparation time.

First, you’ll need to gather the necessary supplies. You’ll need a steam cleaner, a few microfiber towels, a vacuum cleaner, and an upholstery brush. If you don’t already have a steam cleaner, you can rent one from your local hardware store or purchase an inexpensive model from an online retailer.

Once you’ve gathered your supplies, you’ll need to prepare the car for steam cleaning. Remove all items from the interior, including mats and floor mats. Vacuum the entire interior, focusing on crevices and hard-to-reach areas. Vacuuming will help remove dirt and debris, making it easier for the steam cleaner to do its job. Once you’ve vacuumed, use an upholstery brush to loosen any dirt and debris that may be stuck in the fabric.

When you’re ready to start steaming, fill the steam cleaner’s tank with water according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Plug in the machine and turn it on. Start in one corner of the interior and slowly move the steam cleaner in a circular motion. Make sure to keep the steam cleaner at least 6 inches away from any surfaces. Continue steaming until the entire interior is complete.

Once you’re done steaming, unplug the machine and allow the interior to air dry. When the interior is completely dry, use microfiber towels to wipe down any surfaces that may have been missed. This will help remove any residue that the steam cleaner may have left behind.

Steam cleaning your car is a great way to deep clean the interior without using harsh chemicals. With the right supplies and a little preparation, you can have a clean and odor-free car interior in no time.
